Cub Scouts:

  • Cub Scouting is part of the Boy Scouts of America for boys in 1st through 5th grades.
  • The Cub Scouting experience includes fun, excitement,outdoor opportuntities and a chance to participate in a program in which your son doesn't always have to win instead he learns about "do you best" and how to be helpful to others.
  • Cub Scouts experience new physical skills through sports, crafts and games.
  • Cub Scouts learn how to get along with others through group activites.
  • Cub Scouts are encouraged to respect themselves, their home, country and other people.
  • Cub Scouts develop values that will assist them in making appropriate decisions in the future.

Pack 437:

  • Pack 437 is one of many Packs in the Calumet Council with over 25 years of history in Midlothian.  Our sponsor is St. Stephen's Church.
  • Each boy will be a member of a Den within our Pack.

Den Meetings:

  • Each den has at least four boys of the same age/grade.
  • Den meetings are at a scout's home or special location, as planned by the den.
  • Meetings include activities to progress toward awards, plus games, crafts, sharing, songs, ceremonies and lots of fun.

Pack Meetings:

  • All of the dens meet together as a pack, typically on the 4th Monday each month from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at St. Stephen's Gym.
  • Meetings have various activities, including presentations of recently earned awards.  This year we will have a Pinewood Derby and Sailboat Derby during two meetings.

Monthly Activities:

Each month there is one weekend activities, such as:

  • Camping, Christmas Prade, Yukon, Adventure Day to name a few.

Adult Volunteers make up the leadership organization of each den and the pack.  Adult volunteers also plan and carry out the weekend activities.

The Pack has an annual registration fee, which covers the application fees, awards, subscription to Boy Life Magazine and som Pack activities.  There are Pack dues of $50.00 per year.  Den dues: set by each den.
